As bespoke manufacturers of luxury modern kitchens, we sometimes get the chance to work on professional kitchens, designed for cookery classes and demonstrations. We really enjoy designing professional kitchens with the core focus of creating delicious food. One example is Braxted Park Cookery School, located just 10 miles away from our showroom and workshops in Essex, this well established cookery school boasts an array of courses run by a selection of award-winning professional chefs. One such class is the Moroccan Feast Cookery Course, so here’s some background on what to expect.

Morocco, al-Maghrib, literally to mean ‘The West’ is a country steeped in history and culture. Situated in North Africa, its capital city – Casablanca has been made famous by iconic Hollywood movie stars, Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman. The magic of Morocco evokes thoughts of souks, vivid colours of blue and terracotta, shisha pipes, clay ovens, the aroma of lemons and flavours of sweet and spice. The local cuisine is a heady blend of styles and influences from Africa and the Mediterranean. Popular dishes include rich stews, delicate pastries, couscous and the popular handmade bread; Khobz accompanied by grilled meats and fish.
