PR & Marketing Assistant Vacancy

Established in 1993, Davonport has become a well-respected brand in the world of bespoke handmade kitchens, having received industry accolades recognising our Design and Manufacturing as well as our Showroom and Marketing. We are now looking for a PR & Marketing Assistant to join our team, based in our showroom in Colchester, Essex.
The main responsibilities of the role will include:
- Copywriting & Proof-reading – Writing and checking copy on behalf of Davonport for website content, magazine editorial inclusion and official Davonport literature such as brochures and flyers
- Social Media Management – Planning and scheduling Davonport’s social media
- PR Outreach – Working with industry publications (in print and online) to secure Davonport editorial inclusion
- Website Maintenance – Creating and uploading content to the Davonport website
- Administrative Tasks – Working with the design team and Managing Director on basic admin tasks to relieve their workload
Essential Skills & Attributes:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including good telephone manner
- An understanding of different social media platforms, primarily Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and prioritise workload
- Full UK driving license
Desirable Skills & Attributes:
- A Degree or equivalent qualification
- Experience in the kitchen industry or interior design
- An understanding of a WordPress website
- Experience of Photoshop or a similar programme
This position is full-time Monday-Friday, with a starting salary of £20k.
